From its rather turbulent past, Medellin eventually transformed into one of the most popular tourist destinations in all of Latin America. Parque Pies Descalzos

El Poblado
Colombian coffee is considered one of the best in the world, and there’s plenty of it in El Poblado. The strip is dotted with cafes that grow their own coffee beans. The most popular would have to be Pergamino and Cafè Velvet. Aside from coffee shops, El Poblado is also known as a contemporary arts hub. You can find the works of some local artists in this area.
Plaza Cizneros
This renowned park is filled with 300 light poles. During the day it may not look like much, but at night these poles light up like giant disco sticks. The plaza certainly has one of the most unique light shows. And to think this place used to be a haven for drugs and violence, seeing how it has now become one of the city's most popular attractions is nothing short of an extraordinary feat.
Guatapè
While Medellin is a bustling and vibrant metropolis, it has also managed to preserve and protect some unique and stunning rock formations. Just nearby, you can find Guatapè—a town with some of the most picturesque views. It is also where you can find the crystal clear San Rafael river.
The waters are so clean and clear that you might not be able to resist jumping in. If you want a better view from the top, then head on to La Piedra del Penol, which is a rock formation that is shaped almost like a bowl. Simply climb 650 flights of stairs and you can take your fill of Guatapè.
There’s just so many beautiful places to see and so many things to do in Medellin that a day or two is simply not enough. So to make the most out of your time in the city, one of the unique ways to get around their cable cars. The rides not only provide a convenient and affordable way of getting around but you also get a bird’s eye view of the city. Talk about travelling in style.
